The Hallam Roses are a small but perfectly formed, new wave, Women’s Institute in Sheffield. We meet on the second Wednesday on the month, in the function room at Harrisons 1854 just off West Street, with cakes and coffee and tea - and we have ad-hoc get-togethers planned in between for workshops and social events.
We’re a talented bunch of business owners, students, industry experts, doctors, bloggers, mums, crafters and generally wonderfully inspiring ladies, with ages ranging from 18 to 50-ish.
If you’re thinking the WI is all Jam and Jerusalem, then you might be a little surprised by us. Yes we love to have a little craft and a bake, but we’re more than that. Hallam Roses is all about learning new skills, getting together with friends, building confidence, networking and (sometimes) having a gossip and a drink or two.
The Hallam Roses were formed with the intention of helping the women of Sheffield get together and make new friends. With this in mind we have kept the group quite small as we’d like everyone to be able to get to know each other. But we welcome new members!
